Hair is one symbol of beauty. How healthy is your hair? Hair health is a reflection of how healthy or unhealthy your life is. Taking care of your hair is as important as any other part of the body too.
It is normal to lose 100 to 150 strands of hair a day, so don’t get panic when you see a small bunch of your hair crawling across your tiled floor! Here are few tips for you on how to maintain your hair healthier.
HOW TO MAINTAIN HEALTHY HAIR
Firstly, avoid using hot water showers, because hot water will make your hair dry and brittle, as it strips protective oils from your hair. Thus, wash your hair under a temperature which is just a bit warmer than your body temperature. Use a suitable shampoo and conditioner for your hair. Change your shampoo and conditioner as you started to see your hair loosing is getting worse. Get consultation from any hair expert if this matter occurs.
Secondly, if your hair is wet, comb with extreme care, because they’re fragile and prone to breakage while they are wet.
Take a broad toothed comb and run it from the roots to the ends of your hair as gently as possible.
Then you can use the normal comb to comb your hair normally as the hair is no longer tangle and smooth to comb.
This will help a lot in preventing hair loose and breakage.
Thirdly, do cut your hair frequently. By cutting your hair frequently, you can actually help the growth of your hair faster and healthier.
For a specific length, especially short hair, it is advisable to trim your hair every 4-6 weeks.
While for long hair, it is advisable to cut your hair within 3-6 months. By trimming your hair frequently, you actually help the hair to grow faster and maintain the hair to be fresh.
Lastly, healthy food is the main contribution to the hair health. Everything you consume are actually affecting your scalp.
To maintain the scalp freshness, include lots of dark green leafy vegetables like spinach, broccoli and lettuces in your diet. All these dark green leafy vegetables are an excellent source of vitamin A and Vitamin C.
Both of these vitamins help in the formation of sebum, which is a natural hair conditioner and hence moisturizes your skin and scalp naturally.
Besides that, you can make your own hair mask for a deep, nourishing treatment every two weeks. Whisk an egg yolk and mix with half a mashed avocado and a spoonful of honey.
Once mixed, massage it onto damp, clean hair and leave for 30 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.
By applying all these tips, you can eventually maintain the health of your hair. The healthier your hair, the better the self confidence in you. As hair is one symbol of beauty, we need to take good care of it.
